The benefits of

shark cartilage

have been  featured on

"60 MINUTES"

(February 28, 1993),the

DISCOVERY CHANNEL,

and on the radio

programs of such leading

health professionals as

Dr. Robert  Atkins MD,

Dr. Ronald Hoffman MD,

and Garry Null.

Cartilage may prove to be the most wondrous component of the shark.

Their skeletons are made entirely of cartilage, a hard, gristly but

flexible  material.  Unlike bone, it has no blood vessels.

Shark cartilage consists of calcium, phosphorous, and an acidic

mucopolysaccharide / protein complex.  It contains collagen and complex

carbohydrates called glycosaminoglycans, including the well-known

chondroitin sulfates A and C , glucosamine and glycoproteins.

It is effective due to the way it stimulates the cellular and hormonal

components of the immune system.  This makes it effective

against bacteria, virus and fungal infections.²

It helps to restore reserves of essential building blocks in the

blood vessel system, helps to repair tissues damaged by stressful activity,

and helps to repair synovial fluid and membranes which

cushion joints, protecting them against further loss.

It's polysaccharide portion stimulates protein and chondroitin sulfate

synthesis in  the joint, which reduces the inflammation of

osteoarthritis and injuries, and may  even  restore joint integrity.³

"Shark Cartilage improves conditions by addressing the underlying causes and supporting the body's  ability to heal itself"  Dr. Ben Dow DVM

Shark Cartilage is one of the most powerful

anti-inflammatory agents and wound healing substances in the world.4

Shark Cartilage has special proteins that create an anti-angiogenesis

effect, that is, it inhibits blood vessel formation in the body.5

It has been shown to reduce the size of malignant or benign tumors

and to improve long term arthritic conditions by preventing

further degeneration and calcification.6

These active proteins, long strands called 'macro-proteins',

have cellular regenerative properties, which help to restore joints,

bones  muscles, cartilage, nervous systems and organs.

CAUTION:  Shark

Cartilage should not be

given to an animal which

is pregnant or nursing,

still  growing, has

kidney disease, or

having surgery. due to

the need for blood vessel

formaion at that time.

A veterinarian should

be consulted.

Sharks have roamed the seas since pre-historic times,

surviving more successfully than almost any other species.

Only recently have we begun to unravel the mysteries within the sharks'

bodies.  They have a highly effective and unusual immune system,

which helps them to heal their wounds quickly,

and keeps them largely free of infection.   A large amount of

antibodies circulate through their blood streams, which

protect them from bacteria and viruses, as well as chemicals

and other carcinogens.  There is evidence that this protection

is transferable to humans and other animals.¹
